Background

A remote location with high requirements

A public development bank was looking for a highly available and secure geo-redundant site located more than 200 kilometers away from its self-operated data center. Due to regulatory requirements under DORA, MaRisk, and BaFin, only a certified colocation facility was an option.

Operating the additional site in-house was ruled out because the costs were too high and the distance too great. In addition, the bank required a network connection between the main data center and the georedundant site, as well as hands-on support on-site.

The bank was looking for a partner who understood the requirements of the financial industry and could support the project.
