Sardina Systems has its roots in high-performance computing: The founding team developed software for supercomputers before launching FishOS in 2014. Since then, Sardina Systems has been helping organizations build and operate cloud infrastructures with the exact level of control we now call digital sovereignty. The cloud management platform is based on OpenStack, Kubernetes, and Ceph and is used by customers in the financial sector, the public sector, and research across four continents.
FishOS automates the deployment, operation, and upgrades of cloud environments. Depending on the workload and configuration, this can improve resource utilization, reduce operating costs and energy consumption, and relieve IT teams of routine tasks. At the same time, companies retain control over where and how their cloud is operated.
The product name says it all. Just like a school of fish that moves as a single unit in response to currents, temperature, and light, FishOS allocates resources based on data and dynamically adapts them to demand. Sardina Systems deliberately focuses on measurable results rather than expensive consulting hours.
We share this view. As an official reseller, we operate our own HAN-CLOUD on FishOS and bring the platform to companies that want to keep their cloud under European control and break free from their dependence on VMware or U.S. hyperscalers. The DCS Awards jury has confirmed that this collaboration is a success: in 2024, our joint project was named “Cloud Project of the Year.”
