Resilience Begins with Responsibility: Jens Ahlbrand in the BVMW Mittelstand Magazin

In the current August issue of the "BVMW Mittelstand Magazin Niedersachsen/Bremen", Jens Ahlbrand, Managing Director of GRASS-MERKUR, discusses what digital resilience means for mid-sized companies.

The focus is on the growing requirements placed on IT security, digital infrastructure, compliance and the ability of companies to act.

Cyberattacks, geopolitical tensions, energy shortages and regulatory requirements such as NIS2 and KRITIS increasingly confront companies with new challenges. A secure and highly available IT infrastructure is therefore becoming a decisive factor in the long-term viability of mid-sized companies.

As the operator of a high-security data center in Hanover, GRASS-MERKUR combines secure IT infrastructure with cloud services, managed services and consulting. Multi-layered security concepts, redundant supply systems and highly available infrastructure form the basis for reliable IT operations – complemented by flexible cloud and managed service concepts.

This has long been about more than classic hosting: digital sovereignty, compliance and resilience are becoming central requirements for modern IT strategies. According to Jens Ahlbrand, topics such as artificial intelligence and individual IT solutions are also continuing to gain importance.

Another key area is connectivity via the HAN-CIX powered by DE-CIX. The direct link to the main interconnection hub in Frankfurt enables data exchange with latencies of down to around three milliseconds and thus strengthens the digital infrastructure for companies in the region and beyond.
